Seiken Densetsu 3 Guide

Leveling guideThanks to for his contribution of this leveling guideThis guide is based on my own experience throughout the game. This is not the fastest way to go, but a balanced speed/power path.Note that this is not a walkthrough, so if you’re having problems to find the way, I’d recommend you Seikens site official one.

All of the rest of this walkthrough is 100 percent copyright DC 1999-2001. Seiken Densetsu 3 is copyright 1995 Squaresoft. Please do not leech any of this to make your own FAQ out of it.

Also, if you’re having trouble to beat bosses with the level in posting here, feel absolutely free to level-up a bit more. One more thing When I say, for example:“Level-up to 14 inside Rolante Castle (near the Gold Statue near the boss) before fighting Genova and Bill & Ben. Then just go through and beat Gorva (now you have Shade).”If following the guide, you should be at level 12. Go through the enemies until you find the Gold Statue, THEN level-up inside the castle. Then just rush through like mad (not killing most enemies until you beat Gorva)! The 8 spirits:. Level-up to 4 near Astoria before getting the second character near the Cave of Waterfalls.

Level-up to 6 in the cave before defeating Full Metal Hugger (the crab boss that holds Wisp). Level-up to 9 near Maia/Cleft of Earth before killing the Machine Golems at the bridge and then go to Jewel Eater (the mole that holds Gnome).

Level-up to 12 near Palo and/or in the Corridor of Wind (close to the Gold Statue) before beating Tzenker (that holds Jinn). Level-up to 14 inside Rolante Castle (near the Gold Statue near the boss) before fighting Genova and Bill & Ben. Then just go through and beat Gorva (now you have Shade). Midnight club street racing all cars. Level-up to 16 inside Seashore Cave (here’s the deal: the enemies are pretty strong, so rush inside until the last Gold Statue and level-up near it).

Level-up to 18 at Sub-Zero Snowfield (in the end near to the Gold Statue for your own safety) before fighting brand new Machine Golems (and getting Undine). DO NOT FORGET TO CLASS-CHANGE!!. Level-up to 20 in the Desert of Heat (I’d say near Deen) then go through for Bill & Ben 2.0 (and ta-da Salamando inside the Valley of Flames!). Level-up to 22 in the Moonlight Forest (go back to Mintos to sleep), beat Lugar (and get Luna).

Level-up to 24 in the Lampflower Forest (near the Gold Statue), beat Gildervine (the last one, Dryad!).The Mana Holyland:. Level-up to 27 here. This is a place with easy-to-kill enemies. Just don’t forget: if you draw the sword, the rabbits will vanish! The following part is more like a level-up-a-lot-then-rush-through-some-bosses guide. It really worked ok for me, leaving the more convinient places to level-up.

Splinter cell games. Very similar to conviction, but better in every conceivable way, up to and including bring back gameplay elements from earlier games, adding new elements, new challenges, prolly best story in series (but no michael Ironside:/), super fun gunplay and freedom of playstyle.

This is the really nice part of the guide since the part before is almost a 2-level-at-a-time guide!Do not forget: you’ll feel some difficulties right before leveling, but this surely works (8 times!) Just don’t forget to buy the best weapons and armors available. The 8 God-Beasts:. Beat the Wind-God Dangaard without leveling.

Beat the Fire-God Xan Bie without leveling. Level-Up to 32 (five levels in a row. Tough af first but then it’s easy.) near the Gold Statue then beat the Water-God Fiegmund.

Beat the Moon-God Dolan without leveling. Level-up to 36 (lots of experience and relative easiness) near the Gold Statue then beat the Wood-God Mispolm. Beat the Earth-God Land Umber without leveling (run through like mad or you’ll be severely injuried). Beat the Light-God Lightgazer without leveling (run through like mad or you’ll die permanently – savestates won’t work anymore! – just kidding, but the enemies here hurt!). Level-up to 38 in Pedan while finding the necessary???

GO BACK TO THE HOLYLAND AND CLASS-CHANGE THERE!. Level-up to 41 before fighting the Dark-God Zable-Fahr (the place here differs according to your main hero). Now you have to beat two bosses and then head to final boss in the Holyland.

I strongly recommend to DON’T level-up in the Holyland!I’d say a final level of 60 because this way you can max every stat of your party.Getting the final gear (Weapon/Armor seed) before facing this will make it much easier. The (really long) final part:. Level-up to 45 before beating the first boss (Deathjester/Jagan/Darkshine Knight) in the strongest enemies you can find.

Level-up to 50 before beating the second boss (Heath/Bigieu/Koren) in the strongest enemies you can find (the place changes so I won’t bother detailing). Level-up to 60 before facing your final boss challenge (Dark Lich/Archedemon/Dragon Emperor) in the same place you leveled to 50. Trust me, Holyland sucks!

Seiken Densetsu 3 (聖剣伝説3, lit. 'Legend of the Sacred Sword 3') is set in the same world as the two previous Seiken Densetsu games (the first is Final Fantasy Adventure, and the second is most known as Secret of Mana). The mysterious power of Mana is also the center of all events in Seiken Densetsu 3. Years have passed, and all the destructive powers of Mana have been securely sealed by Mana Swords into eight seeds, all placed in eight different kingdoms. But some people know about those sealed powers, and they don't want to free them for the sake of humanity, but for their own gain - such as the kingdom of Altena, which is slowly freezing and which can be saved only by the legendary powers. The game features several plot lines connected to each other by their common background.

In the beginning of the game, you are offered to choose a group of three among six different characters of different classes: Duran the Fighter, Angela the Magic User, Lisa the Amazon, Carlie the Cleric, Kevin the Grappler and Hawk the Thief. Each one of them has her/his own background story and dwells in a different land. Gradually, the connections between those different characters become apparent, and the seemingly loose story lines are connected into a whole.Seiken Densetsu 3, like the previous game of the series, is an action RPG, with real time combat. Seiken Densetsu 3 (English translation) Review by: - 9/10 Lost in Translation: Seiken Densetsu 3 This review is called 'lost in translation' because this little gem of an RPG was literally almost impossible for someone in the US to play unless: A. You lived in Japan, or B. You read Japanese and imported.

It wasn't until the english patch by Neil Corlett that it became truly possible for a non-japanese person to enjoy it. I had the personal pleasure of exeriencing this game /partially/ when I was a kid. We had a game rental place that imported games and, though I read absolutely no japanese at the time, I managed through trial and error to actually play the game somewhat while being completely ignorant of the story. Fast forward roughly a decade, and I am still playing this game! Only I can actually read Japanese somewhat now, and I've beaten it eight times. Yes, there is enough depth in this game to warrant at least eight playthroughs.

You literally cannot get the whole story in one, two, or three playthroughs. To see every single thing you need to play mutiple times with multiple characters. There are a total of six main characters in this game, and each play through you can pick three people for your party.

Who you pick as your first character determines who you'll learn most about story-wise and also alters the layout of the story. It also determines which bosses you will get to fight. Three players can also play this game at once (one for each character) and that was fairly rare for the SNES!

The only caveat is, you can only do multiplayer once you have atleast two characters which is roughly 30 minutes into the game. Further making things interesting is the Class system. Each character has a total of seven classes they can change into (the initial one + six more) and you can only play at most three in one playthrough further giving you a reason to play and play again. Classes determine the abilities and stats of each character. You are NOT forced to change classes however.

If you like a challenge use the initial class all the way through! This game's main characters have a lot of personality, and so do the bad guys (though, admittedly, they ARE rather cliche.) and playing through their stories is a fun and rich experience. The graphics are fabulous for the SNES, and the music does not dissapoint (few Squaresoft games do). Some of it is in fact really catchy. This game is also full of easter eggs including a certain insanely hard boss that can only be fought with certain characters.

Seiken

While this game is not OMG hard, it is not easy by any stretch of the imagination. If you underlevel your characters and do not keep items stocked well you will be in for a RUDE awakening against some of this game's bosses. That all said, Seiken Densetsu 3 doesn't really break the mold for an RPG (these days at least) though it does stand out considerably even when compared to modern RPGs. There will be a lot whacking things over the head with sticks and/or blowing things up with spells here and every so often you'll hear that all too familiar victory song as you 'level up' and the game forces you to pause and train your characters stats.

This story is pretty linear over the course of one playthrough, but changes over many, and you won't be able to go wherever you please until you get some transportation (like so many other RPGs) late in the game. The combat system's ability to move freely while fighting is nice, and useful strategically in multiplayer mode, but unless you set strategies properly on your CPUs (you can) your mages will default to running right up in the enemy's face to whack it with a staff and get beaten to a bloody pulp by default. Over all, DEFINITELY a worth while game to play for RPG fans (especially Square fans).

Don't miss out on this awesome game! If you loved Final Fantasy or Secret of Mana or any of their variants you will love this! Graphics 10 Sound 10 Addictive 10 Depth 10 Story 10 Difficulty 8.
